JAMMU, Feb 3: Three students of MV International School after excelling in a variety of events were felicitated on the penultimate day of 24th Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight at Hotel Fortune, here.
Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu was the chief guest on the occasion and the officers of various oil and gas companies were present.  The fortnight is observed every year to create awareness regarding conservation of gas and oil and also to save environment from pollution.
Symposia, essay writing, painting, slogan writing and art making competition were organized by a large number of schools and colleges of Jammu and the students excelling in their respective activity were given memento’s and certificates.
In the painting competition on the theme “Save Fuel, Save Earth” Aatish Slathia (VI-B), Dheemant Sharma (VII-A) and Pratham Thappa (VI-B) of MV International School were felicitated for securing first, second and third position respectively.  Expressing delight over their performance, the students owed their success to the guidance of the art teacher, Gourav Mahajan and the excellent facilities provided by the school.
