Students of KC Public School donate to Kerala Flood Relief Fund

JAMMU, Aug 21: KC Educational Society made a donation to the Kerala Flood Relief Fund through the students of KC Public School in a special ceremony held in the school today.
Chairman Raju Chowdhary and Managing Director Arti Chowdhary were present on the occasion.
Earlier in the day, both senior and junior wings of the school organized special assemblies in which they prayed for the protection and safety of the victims of unprecedented floods in the State of Kerala resulting into substantial loss of life and resources.
KC Public School being the only school from J&K with global membership of the worldwide Round Square Movement, upholds and promotes education for character building by inculcating skills, attitudes and values among its students through Round Square Discovery Framework.
Service to community is among 6 cardinal pillars of Round Square educational philosophy and KCPS gives top priority to this principle.
Having been trained at the headquarters of Round Square in UK, School Managing Director Arti Chowdhary is an ardent promoter of RSDF and is scheduled to make a presentation on RSDF activities in KCPS at the Round Square International Conference in Ottawa, Canada in September this year. She added that compassion is a major component of RSDF and students of KCPS have been deeply involved in various service-oriented activities in and outside the school.
At the end of the ceremony, KCPS student leaders Sahar Rohmetra, Deepanshi Verma and Rachit Dogra accompanied by their teachers Pooja and Radhika presented the donation cheque to Rajesh Sharma, Vice Chairman of the CII Foundation and Vivek, Deputy Director of Jammu Chapter of the CII.
