Students of Cooperative Training Centre visit CCBL

JAMMU, Dec 7: The students of Cooperative Training Centre, Jammu   today visited the Citizens’ Cooperative Bank Ltd, Jammu for a field visit and had a practical training session.
Indu Magotra Vice-Principal, Centre for Cooperative Manage-ment, Jammu, accompanied the students, who interacted with the Chairman of the CCBL, Parveen Sharma and senior officers there.
Parveen Sharma apprised the students about basic role of cooperative in nation building besides the role of Bank. He highlighted the peculiar characteristic of CCBL, which caters to the basic banking needs of people besides utilization of funds so collected from depositors of Jammu among people of Jammu by way of sanctioning loans unlike other commercial banks, which transfer their funds for investment to other parts of the country. He also expressed satisfaction that such qualified students were joining the cooperative training course, which will help the cooperative movement to prosper in our State also like Gujrat.
Sumant Singh Jamwal, Director of the Bank and Rajeev Dogra, Chief Manager of the Bank along with Sanjeev Kumar, Manager, were also present on the occasion.
