Stone sculptures

Sir,
This has reference to the Sunday Magazine article ‘ Stone sculptures of Ghora Gali’ DE Jan 15.
It is quite dismaying to note that such a treasure-trove of our glorious past is in a shambles. Had it been somewhere in a western country, it would have been maintained very well in a museum or any other art building. The state in which these wonderful stones are at present reflects our lack of taste and interest in aesthetics, preserving our past, and rich tradition of stone carving. The Department of Tourism must pay its attention to this place, and make it a tourist spot. If that is not possible, then this  treasure-trove should be shifted to a place where it can be preserved and displayed for art connoisseurs.
Yours etc…..
