Steven Tyler confirms Aerosmith’s 2017 farewell tour

LOS ANGELES, June 26:  Aerosmith’s lead singer Steven Tyler has revealed the popular rock band, which was formed in 1970, is closing its final chapter in one last tour next year.
Tyler, 68, said the rock band’s farewell is happening only because he feels it’s time, reported Aceshowbiz.
“I think so. Next year,” Tyler said about the farewell tour.
“I love this band, I really do, and I want to squash every thought that anybody might have about this: The band’s over. We’re doing a farewell tour, but only because it’s time. We’ve never done that,” he added.
Tyler said guitarist Joe Perry whom he’s sometimes at odds with is aware of the tour plan. He then joked that their farewell tour might go on “probably forever,” just like The Who and KISS which went on multiple “farewell tours.”
Aerosmith released its last LP “Music from Another Dimension!” in 2012.
Tyler is currently focusing on his solo career and gearing up for the release of his album called “We’re All Somebody from Somewhere” next month. Perry has formed Hollywood Vampires with Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper. (PTI)
