State pensioners project demands

JAMMU, Jan 6: State Government pensioners have urged upon the state authorities to address the pending issues of the pensions and state employees.
In a meeting of  the Jammu and Kashmir Pensioners  & Civil Society Association  held here today under the chairmanship of Ajit Singh Adyal,  the members discussed the issues of  State pensioners  and employees.  They pointed out that the implementation of  6th Pay Commission report in favour of  pre 01-01-2006 pensioners  with effect from January Ist, 2006 in respect of full pension payable instead of lesser pension, being paid to prorate basis  pension formula, has not been made applicable by the State Govt  as done by the Centre. This benefit is needed to be  provided to state pensioners before implementation of  7th Pay Commission report.
They also demanded release of  DA installment due from Ist July 2017, provision of  interim relief  @  25 %  in favour of employees and pensioners before implementation of  the 7th Pay Commission report, enhancement of Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month  and removal of anomalies in the pay grades of various cadre of the employees.
ND Sharma, Prof OP Sharma, R S Jamwal, JK Sharma, Mohd Shafi and others also spoke on the occasion.
