State passing through worst ever crisis: Mir

JAMMU, Jan 4: Pradesh Congress Committee president  GA Mir has alleged that State has been passing through worst ever crisis as the PDP-BJP dispensation has totally failed to deliver their services to the masses.
While convening meeting of PCC observers for the  elections from  booth to block  level committees of the party in Jammu province here today, Mir  said  that people of the State are facing lot  problems as this Government has failed miserably on all fronts. He alleged that for the first time in the history, J&K is facing such worst crisis. The people are crying for ration, adequate supply of water and electricity. Condition  of roads is worst. Employees and workers are on the roads for their wages and other demands and moreover health care facilities have badly deteriorated.
Mir further said that the common people are fed up from the present dispensation in  the Centre and the State. The prices of essential commodities have been increased in many folds and gone beyond the reach of common man. The prices of rations at Govt depots in the State have been  increased. The price of  rice  and flour has been suddenly raised by Rs 5 per Kg which  has led to a lot of pressure on the poor people who were already fighting the menace of inflation.
PCC chief alleged that  PDP-BJP has failed to come to the expectations of the masses in the State. He said the State  is passing through the worst ever period since independence. If there is anything described as bad governance, the people of J&K have experienced it  for the last over 6 months. He said that Congress Party will continue to fight for the cause of common man and play  role of a vibrant opposition.
The PCC leader further explained to the PCC observers about the procedure to be adopted  while constituting these Committees. He said that the committees shall be formed as per social composition and population ratio of the existing block. It would be ensured that  due representation will be given to all the sections of the society including SC/ST/OBC/ minorities, women and youth.

Rajnish Sharma; general secretaries Th Balwan Singh, Abdul Majid Wani, Yogesh Sawhney, Shabir Ahmed Khan, S Manjeet Singh, Vikram Malhotra, Manmohan  Singh, Shah Mohd Choudhary, Shah Nawaz Choudhary and  Namrata Sharma.
