JAMMU, Dec 15: State Karate Championship, 2016 Sub Junior, Cadet, Junior and Senior will be organized by AKAJK on December 19 and 20 at M.A. Stadium, here.
“The medal winners will be called for selections for Karate Association of India (KAI) Sub Junior/ Cadet/ Junior National Karate Championship to be held from 11th to 14th May, 2017 at New Delhi & KAI Senior National Karate Championship 2017 to be held from 25th to 26th February, 2017 at Goa,” said Ambedkar Gupta, President AKAJK.
He further said that these championships which are being organized by Karate Association of India (KAI), which is the only legal & recognized national Karate Federation under the leadership of President, Karate R Thiagrajan and General Secretary Shihan Bharat Sharma, are the only recognized championships.
The Association has advised all the karate lovers and karate players from all over J&K to come under the banner of genuine Association. Karate is now an Olympic event in Tokyo Olympics 2020 and also included in 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
