State Football Academy to conduct trials from May 18

SRINAGAR, May 15: Under the initiative of J&K State Sports Council, the State’s premier Football academy is all set to hold trials for players.
The Academy is billed to nurture and promote talent of the local boys at the National level.
Star Footballer Mehrajuddin Wadoo would spearhead the academy. The academy would run throughout the year and would provide modern football training facilities and opportunities to players to showcase their talent at national level.
The academy as per modern football guidelines would look to focus on the three main age groups: U13, U15, U18 and subsequently selected players would be registered with Jammu and Kashmir Football Association.
The trials will start from May 18, 2017. Interested players have been asked to report at Synthetic Turf TRC. For the U-13 age group (born between 2004 to 2007), the trials would be held on May 18 and 19 at 3:30 pm. While for U-15 age group (born between 2002 to 2003), trials would be held on May 20, 2017 at (3:30 pm), and May 21, 2017 (8 am). Similarly, for U- 18 (born between 1999- 2001) trials would be held on May 22 and 23, 2017 at 3:30 pm.
Meanwhile, players have been asked to come on time along with their original Date of Birth certificates and proper playing kits.
