JAMMU, Mar 19: State Cycling Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cycling Association (JKCA) got underway at MA Stadium, here today.
Over 100 Cyclist of State participated in the Champio-nship and showed their strength, speed and endurance to vie for the top honours.
Adnan Muzaffar (Budgam), Bashart Ahadmir (Srinagar) and Mashooq Maqbool (Budgam) bagged first, second and third position respectively in under 14 boys section, while in sub junior boys section, Suhail Ahmed Dar (Budgam), Sheikh (Budgam) and Mashooq Ahmed (Srinagar) claimed first, second and third place respectively and in junior boys section, Abid Rehman (Budgam), Momis Ismeil (Badgam), Mushtaq Ahmed (Srinagar) and Akash Bhat (Jammu) stood first, second, third and fourth position respectively.
Meanwhile, in girls section, Kajal Devi (Samba), Tamana Sharma (Samba) and Priya Sharma (Samba) won first, second and third place respectively.
Ashutosh Sharma, Vice President J&K Cycling Asso-ciation and General Secretary J&K Olympic Association; Ravinder Singh, President J&K Cycling Association, Om Park-ash Sharma, General Secretary J&K Cycling Association; Rahul Kumar, Indian Cycling Coach, Ravi Salgotra, Treasurer J&K Cycling Association, Vikesh Kumar, Puneet Kour, Rakesh Verma and Karan Digpal were present on the occasion.
