Start process for detachment of officials: Kohli asks HoDs

JAMMU, Nov 7: Minister for Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli today directed the  Head of the Departments (HoDs) of Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries of Jammu division to start the process of detachment of all the officers and officials temporarily attached to different offices.
He asked the heads of the departments to furnish the list of the attached officers and officials to the Administrative Department within a fortnight.
The instruction in this regard was issued by the Minister while chairing a meeting convened to review the functioning of Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Departments. Minister of State for Forests, Environment, Animal, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries and Cooperative, Mir Zahoor Ahmad was also present in the meeting.
“Government is committed to bring in more transparency in the delivery system and activate working at all levels so that the common people are benefited by its schemes”, Kohli said. He asked all the departments to work with renewed energy by activating the officers and officials at all levels.
The Minister asked the concerned to identify all the vacant posts including Gazetted and Non-Gazetted and initiate the process of filling up of these vacancies on fast track basis. He further instructed them to vigorously pursue recruitment for the vacancies referred to the Public Service Commission and SSRB.  He stressed on rationalization of veterinary staff to fill the posts of Vet Doctors and para-vets in rural, hilly areas.
The Minister also asked the concerned to prepare Detailed Project Report (DPR) for construction of structures for dressed chicken at Nagrota Jammu and submit the same to the concerned quarter for arrangement of funds.
Detailed discussions were also held on transferring of land identified for fodder at Chattha Farm and Poultry Farm at Balicharana. The Minister directed the Divisional Commissioner Jammu for immediate removal of bottlenecks if any in this regard.
The meeting was attended by Director Fisheries R N Pandita, Director Animal Husbandry Jammu, K K Bhardwaj, Director Sheep Husbandry Jammu, K K Sharma, Managing Director, J&K Wool Board M Sharief and other officers of Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Departments.
