KATHUA, Dec 6: Stadium XI Kathua and young Star Kathua registered wins against their opponents in the State Cricket Academy T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by J&K State Sports Council, here.
Earlier, in the first match, Stadium XI Kathua defeated Khorte Club by 62 runs. Batting first, Stadium XI scored 154 for 8 wickets in 16 overs with Arvind (43) and Nishant (35) being the main scorers. From bowling side, Randeep Sharma took 3 wickets, while Harshvardan claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Khrote Club made 91 in 12.3 overs. The main scorers were Vikas (24) and Harshvardan (12). From bowling side, Arvind took 4 wickets, while Naresh took 2 wickets. Arvind was adjudged as the man of the match.
In another match, Young Star Kathua defeated Royal Club Billawar by 5 wickets.
Batting first, Royal Club made 86 runs in 16 overs with Sanjay (18) and Varun (17) being the main scorers.
In reply, Young Star chased the target in 12.5 overs with Rajesh (33) and Sanjay (22) being the main contributors. Varun took 3 wickets while Karan bagged 2 wickets. Sanjay was declared as the man of the match.
