KATRA, Mar 3: In order to beef up security at all the Railway Stations, Ranjit Singh Sambyal, SSP Railways Katra, conducted a security review of the Railway Station Katra and Udhampur, falling under the jurisdiction of GRP Katra, here today.
SSP Railway Katra took stock of the security measures which are being taken by the GRP officials for the security and safety of the Railway system. At the same time the SSP inspected the available basic amenities which have been provided by the Railways department to the deployed manpower of GRP at the track and Railway Stations. He was accompanied by Karnlesh Shoor, SDPO Railways Katra, Dewaker Singh, SDPO Railways Udhampur and SHOs of PIS GRP Katra and Udhampur.
Necessary directions to the concerned SDPOs and SHOs regarding the welfare of the jawans were given by the SSP.
A security review meeting was also held at Police Station GRP Katra which was attended by all the SHOs and STC Police Posts of GRP Katra. During the meeting a number of issues regarding accommodation and other basic facilities for the officers and men of the GRP were discussed at length.
Later on Darbars were conducted by the SSP Railways at Katra as well as Udhampur, which were attended by officers and officials of the GRP Katra. All the officers and official were briefed to perform their duties with dedication and punctuality and also to remain extra vigilant and to take all the precautionary security measures so as to ensure adequate security to the Railway System in their respective areas of responsibility.
