KATRA, May 17: SSP Railways Katra, Ranjit Singh Sambyal today inaugurated two newly constructed tin sheds, one at Beat No. 13 (Mian Bagh Udhampur) and other at Beat No. 12 (Sattani Udhampur) and handed over these to jawans for utilization.
The initiative has been taken to provide better accommodation to the nafri of Government Railway Police Katra deployed for the safety and security of Railway track, Railway passengers, running trains, Railway property etc at Railway track in the jurisdiction of GRP Katra.
With the inauguration of new sheds, all the GRP nafri deployed at Railway track have been accommodated in tin/concrete sheds by replacing all tented accommodation. Now there is no any tented accommodation in the jurisdiction of GRP Katra.
While speaking on the occasion, SSP said that he put all his best efforts to provide better accommodation to lower subordinates. He also directed the incharges of the beats to keep these sheds under proper maintenance and perform their legitimate duties with zeal and zest.
SDPO Railways Katra/ Udhampur, SHO P/S GRP Udhampur were also present on the occasion.
