JAMMU, Dec 21: Two SSB jawans were injured, one of them seriously in a collision between a bike and a bus on National Highway in Bari Brahmana area.
According to a police spokesperson, the mishap occured when the motorcycle (having registration No JK02AN-7921), on which the SSB Jawans were going on towards Samba from Jammu, hit a stationary bus bearing registration No JK02G-2617 near Kartholi Gas Plant in Bari Brahmana area.
In the mishap one of the Jawans identified as Raj Dev Singh (45) alias Lovely son of Harbans Lal, a resident of Jandi (Hiranagar) suffered serious injuries and was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. He was posted at 7th Battalion, SSB in UP and was here on election duty.
The other Jawan who suffered minor injuries was discharged after providing first aid at nearby hospital in Bari Brahmana.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
