JAMMU, Feb 4: Demanding release of pending salary and streamlining of the same, Sarv Shiksha Abhiyaan (SSA) teachers today held a strong protest demonstration.
Shouting slogans in support of their demands, they appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to personally intervene into the matter and issue necessary order for immediate release of their pending salary besides streamlining the same by delinking the salary budget from the source of funding.

They were also demanding release of pending DA and arrears of EVs of 2013. The protest demonstration was held under the banner of Jammu Kashmir SSA Teachers Forum.
While addressing the protest demonstration, Rajesh Paul Singh, provincial president of JKSSTF, urged the Education Minister to fulfill their demand for delinking of SSA teachers salary from central source of funding and release of same from the State budget.
The protest demonstration was also addressed by the Forum general secretary and others, who highlighted the demands like transfer policy for RReTs, benefits of RReTs vide order number 469, disposing of all pending files of EV/ReT teachers for regularization.
Those who addressed, included Youns Rahi, Joginder, Manzoor, Surinder, Karan Singh, Surjeet, Netu Rajput, Rajinder Sharma, Gurbachan Singh, Rashpal Singh, Aslam Khan, Ajaz Malik, Ishfaq, Pawan, Sita Devi, Naseem Choudhary, Ganesh Sharma, Shivdev Singh, Jiwan Singh and others.
