JAMMU, Jan 4: Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee (SRMWC) today held a meeting at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple and discussed modalities for Shiv Barat.
While speaking on the occasion, president of the SRMWC, Onkar Sharma (Nandi Ji) said that along with Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust, SRMWC is organizing Shiv Barat (Shobha Yatra) on February 23 on the eve of Maha Shivratri, which actually falls on February 24.
He said that this Shobha Yatra will start from Shri Ranbireshwar Ji Temple sharply at 3.30 PM on February 23 and after passing through all main bazaars of the Old city viz. City Chowk, Indira Chowk, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazar, Residency Road and Parade Chowk, will finally culminate at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple.
He appealed all religious minded people and trade organizations to take part in these programmes and got blessings of Lord Shiva.
