JAMMU, Oct 30: Srinagar Eleven and Shastri Club registered emphatic wins over their rivals in the ongoing 6th Eid-Diwali Milan T20 Cricket Cup, being played at KC School ground, here.
The tournament in which 12 teams are participating is being organized jointly by Simula Club, KC Sports Club and J&K Sports Promoters Club.
Earlier, in the first match, Srinagar Eleven defeated Shastri Club by 8 wickets.
Batting first, Shastri Cricket Club scored 117 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets, with Kanav (28), Deepak (22) and Bunty (17) were the main scorers. From bowling side, Shabir and Umar Ali took 3 wickets each, while Gulzar claimed 1 wicket.
Srinagar Eleven, in reply, achieved the target in 12.2 overs by losing 2 wickets, thus won the match by 8 wickets. Ubaid Haroon (53), Rouf Bisati (40) and Shabir (16) were the main scorers.
From bowling side, Gagan and Anchal took 1 wicket each. Umar Ali was declared as the man of the match.
In another match, Shastri Club defeated Eleven Star Jammu by 7 wickets.
Batting first, Eleven Star scored 140 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs with Dheeraj (38), Irshad (26) and Anand (22) being the main contributors. From bowling side, Anchal took 3 wickets, Sahil bagged 2 wickets, while Gagan and Yogesh claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Shastri Club chased the target in 16.2 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Deepak scored magnificent 90 runs, while Vicky and Sahil contributed 40 and 10 runs respectively. Parshotam took 2 wickets and Kaka claimed 1 wicket. Deepak was declared as the man of the match.
