JAMMU, Nov 28: Senior Wing of APS Kaluchak celebrated the Annual Day 2017-18 with pomp and show, here today.
Rita Singh FWO 26 Inf Div, was the chief guest on the occasion.
The theme of the Annual Day extravaganza was “Incredible India”.
Around 1000 students from the school participated in the event. The programme was ushered in by Ganesh Vandana. Next, a spectacular, impressive, and well synchronized, yoga formation rendered the spectators awestruck.
The most intriguing aspect, embellishing the event, was the cultural bonanza presented by the students in Krishna Leela which splattered on the field, a riot of hues and vibrance.
The folk dances captivated the guests, Kalbelia from the land of sand dunes added colour to the festive occasion and the synchronized dance movements to the foot tapping music of Bhangra enthralled the audience. Kud, Lavani and Bihu were performed with profuse alacrity. The school orchestra set the mood and was indeed a treat to the ears.
Hem Lata Vishen, Principal APS Kaluchak, presented the annual report, which epitomized the skills and talents of students during the academic year.
The alumni of school of the school namely Dr Vidyut Gupta, Dr Mrinalini, Ridhima Kohli (CA), Dr Anirudh Seth, Maj Anirudh Kohli, Lt Rajat Nagyal, Vikrant Kanathia (JE) and Mr Aman Jandial (Merchant Navy Officer) embellished the occasion and nostalgically recollected their memorable experiences.
Winners under various categories were felicitated for their unparalleled achievements. The best sportspersons were also awarded on the occasion.
