Samad Mohammed FallahBorn on May 2, 1985 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, Samad Mohammed Fallah is an Indian first-class cricketer who plays for Maharashtra in domestic cricket. He is a left-arm medium-pace bowler who played for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League Season-6.
In his 33 First-Class matches, Fallah has taken 141 wickets, with best bowling figures of 8/98, with an average of 26.93. He has the distinction of taking nine 5-wicket hauls in First-Class cricket. Batting lower down the order, Fallah has scored just 181 runs in 33 matches, he has played. In 19 List-A matches, Fallah has taken 26 wickets, with an average of 35.76 runs, the best figures being 4/48, besides scoring only 43 runs. In 16 T20 matches, Samad Fallah has scalped 22 wickets with an average of 19.90 runs.
After performing brilliantly in the semifinals of the current Ranji trophy season, Fallah is in the eyes of the National selectors, keeping in view the lackluster performance of the Team India medium pacers presently. He took 10 wickets in that match, including a 7-wicket haul, helping Maharashtra to seal berth in the historical Ranji trophy final.
He has the ability to swing the ball both the ways with his smooth high-arm action. However, Fallah was dropped from the Maharashtra State Ranji Trophy team after a poor display in early part of the current season. But after his return, the strongly built speedster performed remarkably well to guide his team to Ranji Trophy finals.
