‘Sports for Peace’ Mela concludes at Budgam

BUDGAM: Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today distributed trophies among participant players, who participated in the “Sports for Peace” Mela organized by District Police Budgam at sports stadium Budgam.

During the month long event, large number of players from the district Budgam participated in various games including cricket, volley ball, football, athletics and tug of war events.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister for Agriculture said that he is extremely happy to see large number of youth participating in the sports event.

He also told the police and sports authorities to conduct such events in future also.

Hanjura said that it is the top most priority of the State Government to provide sports infrastructure to youth so that they can compete at national and international level.

The Minister distributed trophies among the players who participated in the sports event.

Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mohammad Haroon Malik, SSP Budgam Tejinder Singh, C.O CRPF and senior officers of police and civil administration were also present on the occasion.
