DODA, Sept 5: Displaying a rare act of honesty, a Special Police Officer (SPO) in Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) today returned Rs 20,000 to SBI Bank official.
As per police sources, SPO in JKP Vaishan Kumar, a resident of Village Jhakyas in Doda district had gone to withdraw money from SBI ATM at Doda town. When he entered the ATM and tried to withdraw Rs 1000 cash, he noticed Rs 20,000 dispensing out from the currency slot of the ATM, which someone had forgotten to take.
Vaishan Kumar immediately visited the office of SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir and informed about this matter. SSP immediately called SBI Bank Manger and handed over the cash to him.
Impressed by his honesty, SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir along DySP DAR DPL Nazir Ahmed Ganai and SBI Bank Manger appreciated Vaishan Kumar for his honesty.
