JAMMU, Feb 8: SN Shrivastava, Special DG, J&K Zone CRPF, inaugurated the Martyr Memorial here at Group Centre (GC), CRPF, Bantalab, Jammu.
The occasion was to mark the 50th anniversary of Group Centre Bantalab. The inauguration was followed by floral tributes to the martyrs of the Force. On the occasion, Shrivastava said that CRPF is operating commendably in J&K in close coordination with local police.
Mentioning the history of the Force, he reiterated that whenever situation arose, our men and officers have given supreme sacrifice to keep intact integrity of the nation. He told that the welfare of the families of martyrs is his top priority and also directed other officials to adopt the same principle.
On the occasion, he also mentioned to start a Mentoring Centre at Group Centre Bantalab Jammu to maintain the highest standard of physical and mental health of the Force personnel.
Among others present during the occasion were K Vijay Kumar (IG, CRPF J&K Zone), AV Chauhan (IG, CRPF Jammu Sector), VK Singh, IG (Medical) Composite Hospital, CRPF, Bantalab, Jammu and other officers and men of the Force.
