Speaker reviews security, other arrangements for upcoming session

JAMMU, Jan 28: Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul today directed the officers of all departments to maintain close coordination and meet their responsibilities to ensure hassle free conduct of upcoming Budget Session.
Chairing a high level meeting of the officers of Police and Civil Administration here, the Speaker reviewed the security related and other arrangements put in place by the concerned departments.
The Speaker directed the traffic authorities to ensure effecient regulation of traffic on roads leading to Legislature Complex and MLA Hostel Jammu. He also asked the Estates Department and JKPCC to ensure early execution of repair and renovation, besides facelifting and other works in and outside the MLA Hostel buildings.
He also directed to make available water proof Shamiana with sufficient number of easy chairs for Media and Press people in the Assembly lawns to enable the Legislators to meet the Press.  The Speaker asked the Director Information and Director Hospitality and Protocol to coordinate with each other while making these arrangements.
Mr Gul directed the Municipal authorities to ensure cleanliness in the premises and lawns during the Session. He also directed Floriculture Department for better upkeep of lawns and decorative plants in the premises.
The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu, Secretary, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Secretary, Legislative Assembly, M. Ramzan, Secretary General Administration Department, Mushtaq Ahmad Bukhari, Inspector General of Police, CID Satish Khanare, IGP Jammu Zone,  Rajesh Kumar, IGP Traffic Jammu, Munir Khan, DIG Jammu-Kathua, Shakeel Beig, DIG, Security, M A Ganai, Director General, Fire & Emergency Services, Dr. G. A. Bhat, Director Information, Tasaduq Jeelani, Director Hospitality and Protocol, Hashmat Ali and various senior officers.
