SP School enters semis of U-19 boys cricket tourney

SRINAGAR, Aug 1: Defeating Al-Hamza Cricket Club convincingly in a rain-hit match, SP School entered the semifinals of the ongoing Under-19 boys cricket tournament, being organized by Chinar Corps, here.
Earlier, batting first, Al-Hamza Cricket Club scored a modest total of 132 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. For SP School, Saqlain Mehraj took 3 wickets, while Saqib Hussain claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, SP School were on 59/1 when rain interrupted  the match. The match was decided via Duckworth-Lewis System, wherein SP School emerged the winner.
Kamran top scored with 35 runs for the winners. For  superb bowling display, Saqlain was declared as man of the match.
