SP-BSP alliance seats have been identified: Akhilesh

LUCKNOW: Amid chanting of ‘ Jai Akhilesh ‘ and Jai Bhim'( slogan of BSP) by the student wing Chatra Sabha, the Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday reaffirmed that the SP- BSP mahagathbandhan has been done and already talks for identifying the seats have been completed. ”
There is no confusion within the cadre of both the SP and BSP and now the people have taken decision to elect a new Prime minister. The question on the coordination between the SP and BSP workers were in high spirit and it could be witnessed here when our workers are raising the slogan of BSP,” he said.
Mr Yadav, claimed that there is no confusion about some smaller parties to join their alliance as he is ready to accommodate more while party’s patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav would contest as a SP candidate from any seat he desires.
The SP leader was very critical of the BJP over derogatory remarks by an MLA on Mayawati. ” Such act shows their frustration as well as depression after the alliance came into the fore.
Senior BJP leaders giving controversial statements will increase as the election comes nearer to divert the attention of the people from the real issues,” he alleged.
During a programme of the Chatra Sabha to honour the elected office bearers of the student unions of different colleges, Mr Yadav ,’ I am very liberal to accommodate any party who is ready to join our alliance.”
Reiterating his claim that this time the country will get a new PM, the SP president questioned the BJP, as do they have another name for the PM with the opposition having at least 40 names for the PM post.
Though welcoming the NRIs in the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas programme in Varanasi, the former UP CM said the government was raising a false slogan of ‘ Bharat Dhamaka’ when during the BJP regime, the country’s development has gone down leading to starvation deaths, rise in unemployment while health indicators was also not encouraging.
” But still I hope that NRIs would invest in the country and in UP, though they should also see the Lucknow- Agra expressway constructed by our Government,”he said.
Commenting on the Kumbh at Prayagraj, he said it was a good move to take the NRIs to Kumbh but it was the right time, that Centre should gift the fort, where Akshay Vat exists the UP Government and the army should be shifted elsewhere.
Earlier eminent poet and SP leader Uday Pratap Singh alleged that the 10 per cent reservation to the upper caste poor is just a pinch of salt. ” When just one per cent of the population owns 73 per cent of the country’s assets, then how can anyone expect 10 per cent reservation to provide respite to the upper caste,” he questioned while demanded that a new caste census should be done so that the reservation percentage could be give as per their population.
Meanwhile, Pichara Samaj Swabhiman Party led by Dr V K Singh Yadav on Monday announced to merge with the SP. (AGENCIES)
