Soz talks to Pb CM for safety of Kashmiri students

SRINAGAR, Feb 18: Former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz claimed to have taken up the issue of security and safety of Kashmiri students and traders with the Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amrinder Singh and Haryana DGP.
In a press statement issued here today, Soz said he personally talked to the Punjab Chief Minister and Haryana DGP KP Singh besides the DGP of Punjab, Dinkar Gupta. Soz said their response was quick and favourable.
Prof Soz further said that several scared parents approached him on Sunday and revealed that their wards studying in Punjab and Haryana were scared and giving distress calls. He said after assurances from the CM Punjab and DGPs of both the states he was quite satisfied with the response.
