Soybean futures recover on low-level buying

NEW DELHI, Feb 22: Soybean prices recovered by Rs 16 to Rs 3,779 per quintal in futures trade after speculators created positions at existing levels, tracking a firm trend in global market.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for the most-active delivery in March contracts rose by Rs 16 or 0.43 per cent to Rs 3,779 per quintal, having an open interest of 2,29,230 lots.
Soybean for delivery in far-month April month also improved by Rs 15 or 0.39 per cent to Rs 3,825 per quintal, with  a business turnover of 88,630 open lots.
Marketmen attributed the rise in soybean prices in futures market to building up of positions by participants at current levels coupled with upbeat sentiment in global market. (PTI)
