Sonu helps SCC Akhnoor to smash Jandial Warriors by 129 runs, register berth in semis

JAMMU, June 28: Splendid inning of 107 runs off 44 balls by Sonu guided Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor to smash Jandial Warriors by 129 runs and to register berth in the semis of the ongoing 8th Pawan Memorial Cricket Tourney, being organized by Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor and AYC Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor.
Electing to bat first after winning the match, SCC Akhnoor scored a magnificent total of 250 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Sonu played a magnificent inning of 107 runs in 44 balls, while Sny also chipped in 58 runs off 27 balls. Chandan made 37 runs in 20 balls.
From Jandial Warriors side, Ishant scalped 2 wickets, while Jonty and Jinder took one wicket each.
In the second inning, Jandial Warriors failed to chase the target and collapsed at 121 runs for all out in 15.2 over. Ishant was the top scorer with 34 runs, while Aditya made 24 runs and Ranjit chipped in 14 runs.
From SCC Akhnoor side, Sonu and Chandan scalped 2 wickets each, while Sny, SS Langeh, Sunil and Santu took one wicket apiece.
Sonu of SCC Akhnoor was adjudged as Man of the Match for his glorious inning of 107 runs in 44 balls.
The match was officiated by Vikas Bali and Dayal Singh as umpires, while Ashwani acted as scorer.
In next fixture on Thursday, Singh Cricket Club (ACC) Akhnoor will lock horns with Little Flower School Akhnoor in the first semis.
The tournament is being organized under the overall supervision of Sham Singh Langeh, President, Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor.
