KATHUA, Sept 11: A youth in a drunken state stabbed his mother with sharp edged weapon and injured her seriously at his home in Ward number 14, here this afternoon.
According to a police spokesperson, Bodh Raj, resident of ward number 14, Kathua stabbed his mother namely Veena Devi with sharp edged weapon in fit of rage at his home. Few neighbours intervened after hearing cries and shouts and rescued the lady. They shifted her in a serious condition to District Hospital, Kathua.
After getting the information, a team from Hatli More police post rushed to the spot and arrested the accused. Police registered a case under relevant Section and started investigation.
