DODA, Mar 25: A son was killed while his father got injured when the truck they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Ganpat bridge, here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number PB11AV-9513 was on its to Kishtwar from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge near Ganpat bridge, causing injuries to father-son duo.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital, where doctors declared one of the injured persons as brought dead, while another was responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
The deceased has been identified as Karan Kumar (23), son of Narinder Pal, a resident of Pathankot, while the injured has been identified as Narinder Kumar, son of Bansi Ram of Pathankot.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Doda Police Station and investigation started.
