POONCH, Aug 18: An Army soldier was injured after his service rifle went off accidentally in forward area of Mankote sub sector today.
Official sources said that mishap took place when Sepoy Sanjay Kumar of 15 Mahar Regiment was patrolling along the LoC near Naini Post this afternoon. Suddenly, he slipped and fell down and his gun went off. The soldier received a bullet injury on his right foot and was shifted to Army hospital at Poonch.
