JAMMU, July 14: Police today arrested a man and recovered from him a snatched two-wheeler.
According to a police spokesman, a man identified as Ankit son of Chaman Lal, resident of Roop Nagar, Jammu, lodged a written complaint yesterday with police post Chatha that his scooty bearing registration number JK02AL-3104, was snatched by a man namely Sunny, resident of Preet Nagar, Jammu.
He said that acting on the complaint (FIR No 146/2017), a manhunt was launched and on specific information, police arrested a man namely Surinderpal Singh alias Padra Sunny, son of Ravinder Singh, resident of Jagti (Nagrota).
“On his disclosure, police recovered the snatched vehicle”, he said, adding, further invstigation in the case is going on and recovery of more vehicles are expected.
The arrest was made by SI Sandeep Charak, Incharge, police post Chatha, under the supervision of Inspector Manjeet Singh, SHO, police Station Satwari, and overall supervision of SDPO South, Rafiq Manhas, SDPO South and Sandeep Choudhary, SP City South.
