JAMMU, Oct 4: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Katra team won the 1st State Inter-University Chess Championship title.
Vice Chancellor Prof Sanjeev Jain presented the winners’ trophy and also gave his best wishes for the upcoming Association of Indian Universities (AIU) North Zone games at Jalandhar next week for chess.
Vice Chancellor also enquired about their preparations for the upcoming event.
Registrar Prof D Mukhopadhay, Rajiv Kumar President Board of Sports Activities, Captain Sucha Singh Sports Coach of University and Vinod Sharma Administrative Officer were also present on the occasion.
