JAMMU, Oct 24: Various interactive talks under the aegis of TEDx were organized at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), where speakers from diverse backgrounds delivered talks and enlightened the students with their words of wisdom.
Inspiring talks were delivered by different speakers, including Dr Shankar Venugopal (Dean of Mahindra, Technical Academy), Akash Srivastava (CEO, Flydex Automobiles Private Limited), Sandhya Suri (Retired Naval Officer & Executive Director, Divote Private Ltd), Amitabh Reu (Associate Director & Business Head Panasonic), Damini Mahajan (Co-founder & CEO, Wemakescholars.com), Dr Awdhesh Singh (Retd IRS Officer) and Chandan Bhawnani (Executive Vice President, Yes Bank).
Vice-Chancellor SMVDU, Dr Sanjeev Jain, while speaking on the occasion said that this short talk model is more appropriate for young minds and it works more than a formal classroom teaching, since present day education demands inspiring more than teaching.
The event was well coordinated under the guidance of SMVDU faculty members: Dr RK Jha, Dr HG Mishra and Mir Irfan Ul Haq. The student volunteers, namely Tarun Mahajan and Ashutosh Pandey, presented the vote of thanks.
