Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Nov 29: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has decided to re-dedicate the Saraswati Dham, an old facility for stay of pilgrims near Jammu Railway Station, to the yatris as per the past practice.
Reportedly, the facility had been put out of use for past six months due to a decision by the Board to set up a day care extension centre for the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Super Speciality Hospital, Katra. However, it has now been decided to put the Dham back to its original use.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Saraswati Dham is the oldest yatri facility that was set up by Shrine Board for the yatris coming for pilgrimage through trains. The Dham is also used for Amarnath pilgrims.
