BHADERWAH, Apr 16: Justice Muhammad Yaqoob Mir has directed Executive Chairman J&K SLSA, Chairperson of District Legal Services Authority Bhaderwah (Principal District & Sessions Judge Bhaderwah) to constitute core group headed by Judicial Officer in terms of scheme for Legal Services to Disaster Victims through Legal Services Authorities.
According to an official handout issued here, the team would coordinate with District Administration for timely evacuation of fire victims to the temporary shelters camps (relief camps) opened in the affected areas.
It said that the team would also ensure smooth distribution of relief materials to the victims and assess the damage caused to the life and property of the victims so that the cases for disbursement of relief are processed expeditiously by District Administration, open temporary Legal Aid Clinics in the relief camp manned by Para Legal Volunteers to hear the grievances of the victims and forward the same to the district administration for their redressal.
Chairman of DLSA Bhaderwah has also been directed to submit the consolidated report to the State Authority for further course of action.
