SKUAST trounces PAU Ludhiana by 6 runs

JAMMU, Dec 5: SKUAST Jammu continued its winning campaign in the ongoing All India Vice-Chancellor’s T-20 cricket tournament, being played at Punjabi University Patiala.
In today’s match SKUAST-J defeated PAU Ludhiana by 6 runs. SKUAST-J won the toss and scored 106 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs while batting first. Bikram and Mohan Lal scored 21 and 16 runs respectively, while Kuldeep Singh chipped in with 14 runs. PAU Ludhiana made a great start to their innings and at one stage were cruising along comfortably at 83 for 4 but the introduction of Rajinder Singh into attack in the 13th over triggered a dramatic collapse for PAU Ludhiana. Rajinder claimed 8 wickets by conceding just 10 runs and was deservedly declared the “Man of the Match”. SKUAST-J next faces Shivaji University Kolhapur on December 7, 2017. Kewal K Raina is the coach, Hardeep Singh is the manager while Neeraj Gupta is the Assistant coach of the team.
