JAMMU, Nov 1: To safeguard the professional interests of all the employees, SKUAST- Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) and SKUAST-Non Teaching Employees Association Jammu (SKUAST-NTEA-J) today reconstituted Joint Action Committee which will address the common issues pertaining to the teaching and non teaching fraternity of SKUAST-Jammu.
An emergency meeting was held between the office bearers of teaching and non-teaching association at Main Campus Chatha, Jammu in which both the associations agreed on the reconstitution of Joint Committee for SKUAST employees.
It was unanimously decided in the meeting that Dr Vikas Sharma, president of SKUAST-TAJ, will act as Chairman of JAC, PDK Uppal president NTEA-J as co-chairman whereas general secretaries of both the associations (Dr Vivek M Arya and Zamir-ul-Haq) will be the members of the joint action committee.
Dr Rajinder Peshin (Professor), Dr P K Rai (Sr Scientist) from teaching fraternity and N K Raina, Gursanajaven from non-teaching staff will also be the members of JAC. Prof M A Mallick and S K D Singh are included as representatives of JAC from FVSc RS Pura Campus of SKUAST-J. In addition, Divyansh Verma student representative SKUAST-J and S Devinder Singh Happy representative Labor Union are also included in the JAC.
This twelve member committee will be the highest decision making body on all the common issues of the varsity and the will work with full dedication and zeal to improve the standards of teaching, research, clerical and other miscellaneous activities of the University.
