SKUAST-J Non-Teaching employees protest

JAMMU, Nov 28: Highlighting their demands, a mass demonstration for two hours was held by the SKUAST-Jammu, Non- Teaching employees, here today.
The protest demonstration was held  under the leadership of  P D K Uppal, president of the SKUAST-J Non-Teaching Employees Association.  The protesting employees were raising slogans in support of their demands, which included implementation of decision of High Court in respect of conversion of pay scales,  grant of promotions/selection scales and enhancement of promotion quota of ACTs and  other identical cadres,  immediate implementation of decisions passed in the BOM etc.
While addressing the gathering,  the Association president  lambasted the university administration for its alleged dilatory attitude in resolving the genuine issues and demands pertaining to non teaching employees.  Mr Uppal impressed upon the administration to resolve the genuine pending issues without any further delay.
Senior vice-president of the Association, S K D Singh, while addressing the employees,  asked  the administration to resolve the pending issues on top priority to avoid any sort of confrontation.
Others, who addressed the demonstration, included  Gursajiwan Singh,  Zamir-Ul-Haq,  Naresh Kumar Bhat,  Vikas Gandotra,  Bimal Singh Jamwal,   Deeraj Rajwal,  Manzoor Ahmad Khan and  Ramesh  Lal.
