JAMMU, Mar 15: The executive body meeting of SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) was held today under the chairmanship of its president, Dr Vikas Sharma who informed the house that the Vice-Chancellor has principally agreed on their demand for naming the newly constructed university auditorium as Baba Agar Jitto Auditorium.
The VC has agreed to the SKUAST-TAJ demand in this regard and the auditorium will be formally inaugurated soon, Dr Vikas said.
The meeting also highlighted other demands, such as release of pending arrears and advance increments, annual increments in favour of teachers in the current financial year, etc.
Dr Vivek M Arya, general secretary of the Association, stressed for displaying of up to date statutes of the varsity on website and for speedy disposal of genuine transfer cases.
Issues of CAS of Programme Assistants and grade pay of Subject Matter Specialists were also discussed in this meeting.
