SKIMS Director chairs emergency meet for streamlining institute

SRINAGAR, Jan 13:  Director SKIMS, Dr Omar Shah, today held a first emergency meeting with all faculty heads and stressed on streamlining the functioning of SKIMS.
“We need to work to preserve the prestige of the institution and work hard towards achieving its avowed objectives and acknowledge the importance of every individual working in SKIMS to strengthen the basic patient care services,” he told the meeting.
He said that Government is monitoring closely the working of SKIMS and everyone working in the institute should be committed to serve at grass root level which includes basic patient care system so that, it sets an example in tertiary healthcare.
Meanwhile, Resident Doctors Association have called off their strike and hailed appointment of Dr. Omar Javed Shah as Director SKIMS.They ensured full cooperation to Director for better patient care management.
In a statement, Non-Gazetted Employees Welfare Association, SKIMS has hoped that new Director will strengthen the institute particularly basic patient care system and solve the problems of employees.
