JAMMU, Feb 8: S K Sharma has taken over the charge of Executive Director Northern Region Transmission System -II of POWERGRID.
S K Sharma would be responsible for construction, operation and maintenance of all Central transmission projects in the States of J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and UT Chandigarh. He is a competent professional with over 33 years of extensive experience in Project Management, EHV Transmission and Substation construction, operation and maintenance. Sharma is considered as one of the best professionals in Power Sector.
Prior to joining as Executive Director NRTS-II, S K Sharma has functioned as Regional Head, Executive Director Corporate Monitoring Depar-tment and Executive Director Corporate Planning department of POWERGRID at its Corporate Center in Gurgaon.
Some of his major Contributions in Power Sector are: India’s First 800 kV transmission line between Kishenpur and Moga. 765 kv Bhiwani-Moga transmission system and Uri-II transmission system.
