Six injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Sept 27: Six persons were injured today in two separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a couple was injured tonight when the bike on which they were travelling, was hit by a bus bearing registration number JK02D-5785 at Tali Morh in Miran Sahib area.
“The injured couple identified as Ashok Kumar (45) son of Isher Dass and his wife Bachno Devi (40), residents of Malakpur (Miran Sahib), were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment”, the spokesman said, adding, a case in this connection was registered at police station Miran Sahib and the bus involved in the mishap seized while its driver managed to flee from the spot of crime.
In Devpura area of Akhnoor, an Alto car bearing registration number JK02BM-9691 collided head on with a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK02BD-2981. In the mishap, four occupants of the Alto car got injured, one of them serious.
Three injured whose identities could not be ascertained are undergoing treatment at Government Hospital, Akhnoor while one seriously injured person identified as Radha Sharma (22) daughter of Tilak Raj, resident of Khour is being treated at GMCH Jammu. The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
