Six-day religious programme from Apr 6 to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti

JAMMU, Mar 18:  A six-day religious programme is being organized by the Parbandhak Committee of ancient Hanuman Temple, Sabzi Mandi, to celebrate Lord Hanuman Jayanti with religious fervor and gaiety.
Informing this to media persons here, committee members disclosed that the religious programs will commence on April 6 with Ramayan Path at 10 am, which will conclude on April 7 with the performance of Aarati.
“Bhajan Sandhya will be organized on April 8 in premises of Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha, Parade Ground, Jammu from 8 pm onwards in which several renowned singers including Anita Sharma will perform”, he added.
While speaking on the occasion, B S Jamwal, Subash Shastri, Rajiv Gupta, Kamal Sharma, junior priest, Ashish Sharma, Thakur Singh,  Vinay Gupta, Naresh Gupta and Vinod Gupta said that a huge laddu weighing  101 kilogram,   will be the special attraction of the event.
Grand Bhandara shall be held on April 9 at 12 noon onwards, they added. Before conclusion of six days religious functions on April 11. The Hanuman Jayanti Committee will celebrate Hanuman Jayanti with religious fervor in the premises of temple.
The committee appealed the people of the State from different walks of life to participate in large numbers to seek blessings of Lord Hanuman Ji.
The Committee also urged the local administration to provide necessary logistics like security, cleanliness, drinking water and uninterrupted power supply.
