SIT formed to investigate sexual exploitation case

SRINAGAR, May 27: Budgam police today constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate sexual exploitation case of minor girls by one Gulzar Ahmad Bhat of Budgam.
Police registered a case (FIR No: 40/2013 u/s 376 RPC) in Police Station Khan Sahib Budgam after four minor girls, who were studying in an institute headed by Gulzar Ahmed Bhat, son Ghulam Qadir Bhat resident of Latter Chadur (Shamasabad) Khansahib lodged complaint about sexual exploitation.
The girls alleged that they were repeatedly sexually exploited by Gulzar Ahmad Bhat during their stay in the institute. The SIT will be headed by DySP Khan Sahib.
Meanwhile, the remand of the accused Gulzar Ahmad Bhat was extended upto June 1, 2013 and one more victim has recorded her statement in the court today.
