Simrandeep inaugurates Inter District Kho-Kho C’ship

BHADERWAH, Sept 26: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Simrandeep Singh in presence of Rector University Campus Bhadarwah GM Bhat, District Officer YSS Doda Ashok Kotwal, Principal HSS Girls Annie Kotwal, Army Officers of 4RR today inaugurated the Divisional Level Kho-Kho tournament at University Campus, here.
The two-day event is being organized by the District Youth Services and Sports Department Doda in collaboration with the 4RR in which 250 students of different schools from all nine (9) districts are participating in their respective teams.
On the occasion, the DDC emphasized upon the importance of the sports for the inculcation of the values of teamwork, analytical thinking and leadership skills among the young minds. He hailed the Rector, Officers of 4RR and DYSS for conducting such tournament.
Simrandeep urged youth to keep participating in sports activities with dedication and enthusiasm and bring laurels at the national and international levels.
Speaking on the occasion the Rector University Campus deliberated on the necessity of the participation in sports for the healthy living and the benefits of sports for overall personal development.
The District Officer DYSS thanked the Rector for providing venue to hold the event and also thanked Commanding Officer 4RR for extended cooperation to hold the event.
A colourful cultural program was also presented by the students of Govt Girls HSS Bhaderwah, Athkhar Public School Sartingal and other schools on the inaugural day.
