Simrandeep declares Kho-Kho Tournament closed

JAMMU, Dec 7: Simrandeep Singh, Chief Executive Officer SMVDS, Katra declared the State Level Inter-Division Kho-Kho Tournament closed in an impressive, colourful and well attended function here today.
The tournament is being organised by the Directorate General of Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Katra under the age group of 14, 17 and 19 years boys and girls representing Jammu and Kashmir Divisions respectively.
The boys of Jammu Division beat Kashmir division by 08-06, 18-09. In Under-14 Boys, Kashmir Division defeated Jammu Division by 14-13.
U-14(Girls), Division defeated Jammu Division by 9-7.
U-19 (Boys), Jammu Division defeated Kashmir Division by 09- 07.
U-19 (Girls), Jammu Division defeated Kashmir Division by 07-06.
While addressing the gathering, the chief guest said the state event hosting in Katra was a great sporting gesture with complete festive look. He expressed his happiness over healthy participation of young sportspersons representing almost all the Districts of the State. He congratulated the winners, complimented all participants and wished them best of future.
He also assured all the players that Shrine Board is always there for all reasonable access to infrastructure and technical expertise available in Shrine Board’s Sports Complex, Katra.
Ashok Kumar, Director Sports SMVDSB was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Chiterlekha, Zonal Physical Education Officer Reasi extended vote of thanks.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sarabjeet Kour, Devinder Kour, Jasbir Kour, Vikarant Singh, Rahul Bakshi, Karun Magotra and Opinder Pal.
