Simplify formalities for opening industry: LA Panel

JAMMU, Jan 21: The Committee on Estimates of Legislative Assembly today impressed upon the Government to simplify the formalities for opening of industrial units to attract and encourage the young and local entrepreneurs.
It also suggested that the Government should create all required facilities at the Industrial Estates and provide industrialists pollution control devices free of cost.
The Committee, which met under the chairmanship of Dr. Mustafa Kamaal, here today discussed the overall functioning of Industries Department.
The Committee members Hareshdev Singh, Nizamu-ud-Din Bhat, Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Bimla Luthra, Charanjit Singh and Syed Rafeeq Ahmad Shah attended the meeting and stressed for launching awareness campaign at block levels to educate the artisans.
Among others, Commi-ssioner Secretary Industries and Commerce Farooq Ahmad Fakhto, Director I&C Jammu Gulzar Ahmad Qureshi, Director I&C Kashmir, Javed Khan, MD JKMDC Anil Kumar, Gupta, Director Handloom, Director Handi-crafts and other senior officers were attended the function.
