Sikh organizations discuss arrangements for anniversary of Akali Kaur

JAMMU, Jan 24: A joint meeting of religious Sikh organisations was held at Gurudwara Baba Fateh Singh Ji, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu to discuss the arrangements of the anniversary of Jathedar Akali Kaur Singh Ji Nihang which is going to be held on 29th January, at Gurudwara Baba Fateh Singh Ji, Jammu.
The meeting was called by the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC). After the meeting a joint press conference was also called by DGPC Jammu in its office premises. While addressing the media persons, Avtar Singh Khalsa, General Secretary, DGPC, Jammu informed the press that the anniversary of Akali Kaur Singh Ji is going to be held on January 29 from 10 AM to 3 PM.
He said that it is a joint event of Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee Amritsar (Sikh Mission Jammu Kashmir), District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Jammu, State Gurdwara Parbandhak Board J&K and all the Gurdwara Parbandhak Committees of Jammu and Kashmir and Sikh Religious Organizations.
It was informed that the Singh Sahib Gayani Jagtar Singh Ji, Head Granthi, Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Amritsar, Prof Kirpal Singh Bandongar, president of Shiromani Gurdwara Committee, Sri Amritsar, Dr Roop Singh Ji, secretary, SGPC Sri Amritsar, Harbhajan Singh Manawa, secretary, Dharam Parchar, SGPC, Sri Amritsar, Kuldeep Singh Ji, Hazoori Ragi Darbar Sahib, Sri Amritsar, Gurbachan Singh Ji, Hazoori Ragi, Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Anandpur, Sanamdeep Singh and Dhadi Jatha Harpal Singh Thand are specially coming to participate in the Anniversary of Akali Kaur Singh Ji.
The DGPC appealed to the Sangat of J&K to largely participate in the Anniversary of Akali Kaur Singh Ji.
